About gavan photo

I've always been a photographer - Always.
I started my career with a basic Fisher-Price 110 style model featuring viewmaster images of wildlife and a rotating flash cube. (kids - look that one up...FLASH CUBE...) At the age of 6 I was given a Polaroid Cool Cam 600. I was was intrigued and committed to the art - snapping images of whatever could be photographed and in great quantity, much to the dismay of my mom and dad.
I started to refine my skills by studying cameras and darkroom in high school then moving on to major in Biomedical and Fine Art Photography at Detroit's College for Creative Studies. My internships at the Wayne County Medical Examiner, American Greetings, and the Kresge Eye Institute expanded my exposure and know how in the photographic arts. I worked on my technical and studio skills, realizing that my strength was photographing real people in real situations.
I have a special place in my heart for Adray Appliance and Adray Camera, a family who trusted me in a position with their company that supported me for almost 8 years throughout college and beyond. The education I received there was greater than any college could provide.
I specialize in weddings and portraits, with years of experience in sports, commercial and technical photography.
Ask me to shoot it. I will, and with style.
